Hi, I'm Val Bunbury, Category Manager for Local Interest. I look after Regional Interest titles for the Ontario market and titles written by our Local Authors.  I am supported by two colleagues - one in Western Canada and one in Eastern Canada.   I have been with Indigo for the last decade in various roles beginning in the stores to where I am now. 

Let me say, writing, putting thoughts to paper, has always been a struggle for as long as I can remember. But reading, never a problem. I was the child who challenged the lights out rule by bringing a flashlight to bed with me.  I am not faithful to any particular author or field, I cover a large spectrum of categories, and am quick to recommend a book that captures my attention to anyone and everyone that will hear me talk to it.  And, as long as the story will transport me to a different time or place, I am happy to spend some quality time and experience all the world an author has created.
